Cookie Notice.
This notice covers thecapsi.app, the Capsi website. You can browse the site without an account, and the only data it collects is described here. For how the Capsi app handles your data once you sign in, see our Privacy Policy.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Ltd) to understand how the website is used — which peppers get viewed, where visitors land — so we can improve it.
Analytics only runs after you agree. On your first visit you'll see a cookie banner:
- Accept — Google Analytics loads and sets two first-party cookies,
_gaand_ga_<id>, which hold a random identifier used to recognise your browser across pages and visits. They expire up to about two years after your last visit. - Decline — Google Analytics is never loaded, no analytics cookies are set, and nothing is sent to Google.
Either way, we store one small entry in your browser's local storage to remember your choice, so the banner doesn't keep reappearing. That entry stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
What the analytics see
When analytics is enabled, Google receives, for each page you view: the page address and title, the page you came from, the random identifier above, your device and browser type, screen size, language, and an approximate, city-level location. Your IP address is not stored — Google Analytics 4 discards it.
We do not send Google any personal details — the website has no accounts — and we don't use this data to profile you or to advertise to you.
Your choices
- You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser. The banner will return and stay off until you accept again.
- Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
- Google explains how it processes this data, and offers a browser opt-out, at policies.google.com/privacy and tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Our legal basis for website analytics is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which is why nothing runs until you accept.
